No matter how long you’ve been involved with roofing, any day can bring a surprise.
On June 9, Quality Edge engineer Mark Armock went with his family to enjoy the kick-off of the Standale Summer Concert Series, and they soon found themselves standing on the stage with a pair of giant scissors instead.
Mark was pretty familiar with the new amphitheater at Walker Community Park, of course, having spent many hours on top of it with fellow engineer Mark Bredeweg, installing metal roofing for the structure. They had also spent many hours working with the city of Walker to define the project, and designing custom pieces for the unique roof. However, Mark never expected to be cutting a ribbon on June 9, when Quality Edge was honored for donating the roofing products for the project.
This new amphitheater has been on the wish list for Walker Community Park for some time, along with improved senior seating and a minor trail extension. Community leaders expect that the new structure will help bring people together for summertime concerts and other community events for many years to come. Quality Edge is pleased to be part of such a lasting investment in the community.
For Quality Edge, our greatest satisfaction comes any time we see Quality Edge products installed on beautiful homes and buildings throughout the United States. We know these contributions will hold up over time.

When we look for ways to bring benefits to our community, projects like the amphitheater at Walker Community Park really stand out as a great opportunity to add value for the area that has done so much for us. So one minute you’re sitting down to enjoy a nice concert after work, and the next minute you’re on the stage, and your kids are wielding the giant scissors. It’s all in a day’s work for Mark Armock. Whether it’s a roofing nailer or a pair of giant scissors, you have to be ready for wherever the day takes you.
